If you’ve been following the DeSantis vs. Disney news, you may have seen that on the same day that Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis posed the idea of building a prison complex near Disney, the megacorporation announced its first-ever “Pride Nite” on social media. The DeSantis administration has been in a very public battle with Disney Corporation over various issues, including Disney’s concerns over Florida’s “Don’t Say Gay” bill to Disney World’s special district and threats of overriding Disney’s special exemptions. While the “Pride Nite” is taking place at Disneyland in Anaheim, California, the announcement’s timing has been seen as another pushback from the Mouse.

So what can park-goers expect on this inaugural “Pride Nite?”

“Disneyland After Dark” is typically a special-themed night where the park is open after

the regular closing hours. Upcoming “Disney After Dark” nights include “Star Wars Nite” over May the 4th and a retro Disney-themed “Throwback Nite.”

“Pride Nite” will take place during Pride month, June 13-15, from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. and will include special entertainment, character experiences (Elsa in rainbow stripes, perhaps?), photo opportunities and even shorter wait times for rides.

Mickey, Minnie and the crew will participate in a “Pride Cavalcade” where the characters will be  “dressed in special attire” as they follow the parade route down Main Street, U.S.A.

Guests are also encouraged to dress in their finest Pride clothes and costumes as long as it follows the park’s dress code. Whatever you wear, make sure it includes your dancing shoes for

the event’s multiple dance and DJ parties. If Clarabelle is there, you know she’s going to slay.

General admission tickets go on sale tomorrow, April 20, at 9 a.m. Pacific and include admission to the park three hours before the event for no additional charge. According to the Disneyland website, tickets will be $139 per attendee. Most “Disney After Dark” events sell out, so if you want to celebrate Pride in the Mouse House, you’ll want to get your tickets early
