Gay Wine Weekend, hosted by Out in the Vineyard, is gearing up for its largest event yet, with an expected attendance of 1,000 guests from July 19 to 21. This year, the event is relocating to California’s Russian River Valley and Healdsburg region. The host hotel, Vintner’s Resort in Santa Rosa, will be exclusively reserved for Gay Wine Weekend guests, providing a central location for all activities.

The weekend will feature a range of new venues, wineries, and restaurants, offering attendees a varied lineup of events, including wine excursions, VIP receptions, a wine auction, tea dances and more. A portion of each event’s proceeds will benefit Face to Face, a local HIV/AIDS non-profit organization.

Gary Saperstein, founder of Out in the Vineyard, emphasizes the event’s role in fostering connections within the LGBTQ+ community.

“Out in the Vineyard’s Gay Wine Weekend is an experiential Wine Country event that brings together lovers of wine and the love that exists within our LGBTQ+ Community,” said Saperstein “It’s a weekend filled with delicious wine, excellent food and amazing people where folks create lasting connections with new friends or old family.”

Gay Wine Weekend offers various ticket options, including individual event tickets starting at $45 and weekend packages up to $1,050 per person. Ticketed events include winemaker dinners, Twilight T-Dance and the Drag Queen Brunch. Tickets, packages and hotel rooms are expected to sell out quickly. After parties with no cover charge will also be happening during the weekend celebration, with details to be revealed soon.

This year’s Gay Wine Weekend follows other successful events organized by Out in the Vineyard, including Pink Sonoma and the Pride Wine Festival, which occur before the main event.
