GALECA: The Society of LGBTQ Entertainment Critics has announced the 2024 Dorian TV Awards nominations, recognizing excellence in television and streaming across 24 categories. This 500-member organization, in its 15th year, includes critics from media outlets across the U.S. and beyond.

Leading the drama categories are AMC’s “Anne Riceโ€™s Interview with the Vampire” with six nominations, and FX/Huluโ€™s “Shลgun” and Showtime/Paramount+โ€™s “Fellow Travelers” with five each.

In the comedy categories, FX/Huluโ€™s “The Bear,” Max’s “Hacks,” and Netflix’s “Baby Reindeer” each garnered six nominations.

โ€œA lot of our nominated shows are focused on outcasts trying to punch through norms, and their own fears and flaws, to find peaceโ€”a not-easy road, but one our members obviously loved following,โ€ said GALECA founder and Executive Director John Griffiths.

New categories were added to this yearโ€™s awards, including Best Written Show, with contenders “The Bear,” “Hacks,” “Baby Reindeer,” “Fellow Travelers” and ABC’s “Abbott Elementary.”

The Dorian Awards, also honor actors across non-gendered categories, with nominees ranging from Emma Stone and Jodie Foster to rising stars like Ncuti Gatwa and Julio Torres.

GALECA members, representing a wide array of respected media outlets, democratically select the winners for TV, film, and Broadway/Off-Broadway categories.
